About
I’m Simone Carella, I was born and raised in Foggia, Southern Italy. I finished studying, then I moved to Rome to follow a course in Video & Interactive Design at The European Institute Of Design, course I never finished due to my lack of attention to a certain old way of teaching such technological things without any entusiasm or perspectives.
I always get curious by Web since 1997, when I started exploring source code of simple Html pages.
Then I discover Perl first and Php later so I started developing some basic application (better to call them simples, bugged scripts) to manage online news, articles and galleries. In the meantime I use Photoshop and Flash to make things grafically and interactive.
I always get enthusiastic energy when I discover new things to learn. Spending lot of hours, nights and coffee to studying and practices languages and technologies has become a must.
I started working in Rome in 2006, when I get contacted for the re-designing of the website of a famous underground magazine of the Italian Capital (www.neromagazine.it), some works as free-lancer for different corporate websites, including an online shop for a Streetwear shop.
Then I moved to Aci Informatica and Coni Servizi, working in corporate web development of online services, web applications and websites, using Open Source technologies, who no-stop serves users of the premier Drivers Association of Italy (www.aci.it) and for the Italian National Olympic Committee (www.coni.it).
I never be happy in large corporations, in stressed work environments, with persons who continuously delegate to you things-to-do without any interests in topics who should be at the center of the attention for them whom works in the ITC, especially in the Web.
So I landed 1 month ago in KIUI, a new small and smart web factory, as a Web Application Developer and User Interface Designer. (www.kiui.it). Here I start develop iPhone native application by learning Objective-C, the iPhone SDK and the Cocoa Framework. In the meantime I develop a website for a friend using Python with Django (www.agostinoiacurci.com). He is an Illustrator. You would appreciate him works.
Incisiv is my thoughts-box. Here I write everything I think should be leaved as a witness of myself into the wild jungle of the web. Not only purely-technical articles, but something that must be more than a simple, naked representation of a professional working figure.
